Responsibilities & progression
The role will oversee the operation team to ensure the smooth running of the company’s asset management and investment services business whilst assisting with the building out of new products and services.
- lead and oversee the day-to-day operations, responsible for operational areas such as planning, budgeting, staffing, client onboarding and support, marketing, and internal control
- work with stakeholders to shape the company’s strategic direction, closely support the development and execution of the strategic plan, taking responsibility for evaluating, developing, and managing strategic priorities, including new products and businesses
- develop an operating model to match the company’s growth ambitions, define the operational, technology, and data needs and oversee delivery against those needs, adapt existing operational processes and technologies to be efficient and fully compliant with applicable regulatory requirements
- Candidates holding SFC license with outstanding soft skills will be provided the opportunity to become a Responsible Officer applicant
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years experience working within the asset management and/or investment services sector, demonstrating increasing responsibility and evidence of managing and scaling operational teams for at least 2 years
- Ability to operate and scale up a start-up business and associated processes, possess previous experience in creating and running processes from start to finish, and overseeing an operation team, ideally within a regulated environment
- Strong analytical toolkit and problem-solving skills will be essential
- Team player with excellent communication skills, an energetic personality with the drive to effect change and develop relationships across all levels of the business
